Ivan will lead Workzone’s Product and Engineering Teams with the goal of driving the next stage of work management innovation.
Philadelphia, PA – March 7, 2025 – Workzone, a leading project management software provider, today announced the appointment of Ivan Batanov as Chief Technical and Product Officer (CTPO). With over 20 years of leadership experience at industry-leading technology companies, Ivan is a proven innovator with a solid track record of scaling enterprise platforms, enhancing product capabilities, and leading high-performing engineering teams.
In this role, Ivan will lead Workzone’s engineering and product organizations with the primary goal of driving the company’s next stage of technological innovation in work management solutions.
Prior to joining Workzone, he served as SVP of Engineering at Tealium and Crux Data, CTO of Kyriba, and held senior leadership roles at ServiceNow, Yahoo!, and Microsoft’s Windows Azure team.

Following its acquisition by Big Band Software in December 2023, Workzone had a marquee 2024 on the growth and product evolution front. Ivan’s appointment is a significant step in the direction of the company’s ambitious 10-year goal of seeing a project completed on its platform every second. The impact of the goal can be best assessed by the industries the company serves, wherein students, patients, and community members will see stronger outcomes by virtue of more efficient Higher Education, Healthcare, and Financial Services organizations (among other community-centric industries) that Workzone counts as customers.
